La cerimonia concretizza la canonizzazione che celebra la gloria divina e sua bellezza trascendente in un omaggio a Dio e al papa. Il rituale \u00e8 uno spettacolo al servizio della politica e della diplomazia sulla scena europea di Roma che mostra una Chiesa militante contro il protestantesimo rendendo visibile la santit\u00e0.<br \/>\nL\u2019apparato grandioso del teatro costruito da Paolo Guidotti nel coro della basilica \u00e8 alla gloria di Isidoro, patrono di Madrid, e pagato in gran parte dagli spagnoli. Gli altri beati si aggiungono dopo un importante negoziazione politica tra il papa, il re di Spagna, il re di Francia e le duchesse<br \/>\nfiorentine. La citt\u00e0 \u00e8 coinvolta con la cerimonia del ritorno degli stendardi nelle diverse chiese dei nuovi santi. La festa per san Filippo Neri alla Chiesa Nuova \u00e8 documentata da un quadro di Andrea Sacchi. Il linguaggio rituale e figurativo \u00e8 molto efficace e suscita uno sviluppo degli Oratoriani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Roman ceremonies for the canonization of 1622<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On March 12, 1622, five saints were canonized in St. Peter\u2019s Basilica by Pope Gregory XV Ludovisi: Isidore the Farmer, Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Teresa of Avila and Philip Neri, a Florentine living in Rome where he was very popular. The ceremony concretized the process of canonization in an event that celebrated divine glory and transcendent beauty in a tribute to God and the pope. The ritual was a spectacle in the service of politics and diplomacy on the European stage of Rome, that showed a Church militant against Protestantism by rendering holiness visible. The grandiose theatrical apparatus built by Paolo Guidotti in the basilica\u2019s choir was to the glory of Isidore, patron saint of Madrid, and paid for largely by the Spanish. The other blessed individuals were added only after important political negotiations between the Pope, the king of Spain, the king of France and the Florentine duchesses. The city was involved by means of the ceremony of the<br \/>\nreturn of banners to the various churches of the new saints. The celebration for St. Philip Neri in the Chiesa Nuova is documented by a painting by Andrea Sacchi.
